Development Process

High Polymer Treatment Materials

There are various types of high polymer materials, from general products such as plastic and packaging materials to rubber, synthetic textiles, and biological high polymer associated with life phenomena. As such, high polymer is necessary for all forms of human life. Medical materials are categorized into treatment materials, artificial organs, and artificial tissues. High polymer used in ECO Splint has the following properties:
  • 1) Long-term clinical research confirmed the non-toxic and tissue-friendly nature of the material
  • 2) Hydrophilic and hydrophobic units exist in the structure, enabling blending of plastics
  • 3) Useful in making suture stapler and drug-releasing materials, with more medical purposes enabled by blending with other materials.
  • Medical Materials Used to diagnose and treat diseases and damages from accidents.
  • Non-Toxic Non-toxic materials without skin irritation to ensure contact with the human body.
  • Bio Suitability The material protects the body by enacting the immune system blocking germs and other foreign substances from the human body.
  • Excellent Ventilation
ECO Splint employs porous net structure that exposes the treatment area to the sun even when the product is worn. The layered structure expels body heat or dead skin cell easily, which eliminates itch or odor from wearing the product.
  • Lightweight
Cotton fabric meshed with high polymer material makes the product ultra light, to the degree that the patients wearing the product cannot feel the weight of the product.
  • Non-Toxic
ECO Splint is harmless to the body and non-toxic without skin irritation. As such, doctors can provide treatment even without wearing gloves. Wastes from the product is categorized as general waste.
  • Biodegradeable
Unlike plaster or glass fabric, the product is completely degraded when buried, making it an eco-friendly product that can be discarded as general waste.
  • X-Ray Translucent
ECO Splint is a semi-transparent product through which X-ray can pass. As such, X-ray scanners can be used to check patient status while the product is worn. Additional treatments can be made as necessary.
  • Variable Rigidity
Additional layers or wrappings can be simply added to reinforce the strength or support to the product as necessary.
  • Perfect Reversibility
If treatment using the product is not perfectly executed, ECO Splint can be soaked in warm wate r to bring it to its initial state. This means that the product can adapt to changing body shapes during the treatment.
  • Thermoplasticity Adaptable to Bathing Situations
ECO Splint is a thermoplastic product that changes in a temperature range of 70℃(+ - 5℃). This prevents the product from changing form even when used in baths, making it more hygienic than its competitors.
  • Use Regular Scissors to Cut the Product
Despite its high support structure, ECO Splint can be cut using regular scissors, unlike plaster or glass fabric casts that need to be cut using a chainsaw. This reduces psychological stress that may be imposed on patients.
